Clinical QA Analyst – AI Clinical Decision Support

Mednition Inc. offers SaaS based clinical decision support solutions to hospitals to improve patient safety and help drive down costs for healthcare delivery. We analyze medical records and translate this information into real-time high accuracy clinical predictions. We are looking to expand our team with curious and hard working individuals who want to make a difference for clinicians and the patients they care for. This entry level position is big data focused, requires strong analytical skills, creativity, and attention to detail.

Job Focus
  1. Provide support for data integrity and data validation in the production of data that drives our machine learning pipeline
  2. Assist with mapping medical terms to a graph based medical ontology
  3. Assess the accuracy of our de-identification software to HIPAA safe harbor requirements
  4. Analyze machine learning experiments and provide reports on clinical validity of medical features and data extraction
  5. Utilize advanced querying techniques with thorough knowledge and understanding of data pipeline in order to identify and analyze gaps in information extraction
Experience
  1. Required:
    1. Bachelor’s degree in biology, bioinformatics, statistics, math, public health, or other related field
    2. Excel, G Suite
    3. 6 months of programming classes
  2. Preferred:
    1. Masters in Public Health/Nurse Practitioner/Informatics
    2. Understand medical ontologies (UMLS) 
    3. Experience in text processing and/or information extraction/retrieval
    4. Python and regular expressions experience
    5. noSQL document DB query language skills
