Clinical Data Science Analyst – AI Clinical Decision Support

Mednition Inc. designs cutting edge clinical decision support infrastructure for clinicians to improve patient safety and help drive down costs for healthcare delivery. We analyze medical records and translate this information into real-time, high accuracy clinical predictions. Job Focus
  • Explore data and improve data integrity at scale and create data validation methods for our machine learning pipeline
  • Assist with mapping medical terms to a graph based medical ontology
  • Assess the accuracy of our de-identification software to HIPAA safe harbor requirements
  • Analyze machine learning experiments and provide reports on clinical validity of medical features and data extraction
  • Utilize advanced querying techniques with thorough knowledge and understanding of data pipeline in order to identify and analyze gaps in information extraction


  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, bioinformatics, statistics, math, public health, or other related field
  • 6 months of programming classes
  • Basic understanding of statistics
  • Experience with a source code management framework


  • Masters in Public Health/Nurse Practitioner/Informatics
  • Understand medical ontologies (UMLS) 
  • Experience in text processing and/or information extraction/retrieval
  • Python and regular expressions experience
  • noSQL document DB query language skills
